At EDG our work started out as just a dream.
We began as a project of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC)--a non-profit agency whose specialty is to help resettle refugees and immigrants to the United States, and later became a separate non-profit..
EDG staff has experience that's important to our mission: providing financial resources and support services to individuals, families, and small businesses in the D.C. metro area.
Now in our 20th year, our list of successful
clients continues to grow--and we invite you to
be one of them.
How can EDG help you? Everyone is welcome, especially if you have a small, or limited income and are a:

- refugee, or you're an
